Dr. Dhabuwala is a nationally known figure in the Asian American hotel industry. He has been one of the lead developers in the highly competitive New York City market and has considerable assets at JFK Airport, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Most recently he and his partners were named developers of the year by Intercontinental Hotel Groups and Choice Hotels International Inc.
A semi-retired physician, he partially left the practice of medicine to concentrate on hotel operations and development and in addition to his NYC presence, has acquired, managed, and sold over $200 million in assets over the past ten years.
Raj Bhagia is a very dynamic person currently working on several Hotel projects that are being established under his close supervision from inception. His responsibilities in the projects include land acquisition, construction and transitioning to the completion. He has a unique sense of knowledge about the prospective hotel market in the five boroughs as well as New York metro area.
His career started as a Software Engineer reformed to an entrepreneur in the commercial real estate field. His phenomenal growth in the hotel industry proves that his skills and dedication are being acknowledged by the industry leaders. Raj Bhagia also is one of the esteemed Board Member in Asian American Hotels Owners Association(AAHOA).
